The correct line is where you find it, and occasionally that's in "Parade," the skimpy Sunday supplement carried by newspapers all over the country. For decades, Walter Scott's "Personality Parade" column (inside the front cover) has been fielding questions about the rich and famous -- including populist zingers about the powerful and their groupies. Scott calls 'em like he sees 'em, and there's reason to be glad he's around. In general, the rest of Parade is a frumpier, family-values version of People magazine -- plus Reader's Digest-style medical articles and an occasional expose. On a given Sunday, almost anything is liable to turn up. The magazine's surprising list of contributing editors includes David Halberstam, Peter Maas, Norman Mailer, Willie Morris, Dotson Rader, Carl Sagan, Al Santoli, Gail Sheehy, Tad Szulc, and David Wallechinsky.
