Except for a three-page agenda, the other 33 pages of this item
consist of over 400 names, titles, and addresses of those who attended
the symposium. Perhaps thirty percent are active military, ten percent
are from other government agencies, and the remainder are representatives
of various defense contractors. The exhibition hall included exhibits
from about 42 corporations and a handful of defense agencies.
The agenda is divided into several major sections, each of which
features a speaker and/or moderator, and several panelists: policy,
mission and force, 1995-2005; joint warfare and SO/LIC operational
imperatives; effective application of psychological operations forces;
counter-proliferation; special operations air mobility needs; peace
operations and civil affairs; counter-terrorism; special operations
medicine - 21st century requirements and needs; SO/LIC USSOCOM [U.S.
Special Operations Command] technology thrusts; SOF [Special Operations
Forces] budget and affordability; and SO/LIC in the next decade.
